I need some. I have been going on and off but nothing is motivating me. I have some gym buddies, and when I see FH I work out with him. I feel like I have no energy when I am there. I'd like to take some kind of energy supplement, but don't want to have heart palpitations. Any suggestions?

Yeah I think about the wedding, but I keep saying, well I look ok now. But, I don't feel ok. I am the heaviest I have ever been, which a lot of my friends tell me I'm fine and not to worry. The thing is, I really don't gain weight and I have only gained about 8 pounds since meeting FH. But, I am not toned in the least bit anymore. I know my metabolism has slowed, I think partly because of my BC, which I switched a few months back. I just still have nothing that motivates me and I want to walk out of the gym the minute I walk in.

I have the same problem. If we belonged to the same gym I'd tell you to come with me.

I was going steadily over the summer and beginning of the school year- 5 or 6 days a week! Then I dropped off. I wish I didn't!!!

Re: Gym Motivation
Maybe joing some sort of program? For example, I just started this total body shaping program. It's 10 weeks...5 days a week.
Since it's something I signed up for, for a period of time, I feel that it's a committment that I made, and there is no question about going or not going. I know that I have somewhere to be Mon-Thurs nights and Sat morning, and that I'm guaranteed great results at the end of the 10 weeks. And there's always the option of joining again for another 10 wks when it's over. I guess because there's a 'goal', that it helps motivate me to go. Sort of like going to a college class...you just go.

Where is this program. Sounds pretty intensive and I need to get my butt in shape. I just went to WW and gained 2 lbs. Its a new year and I dont have that much time to go

I just joined a class and got my cousin to join with me. So, hopefully that will keep me going. Problem is that I live in SI, and FH lives in LI, so I travel back and forth very often. He hardly ever comes here. Plus after work I tutor 3 nights. I just don't have the time and I am exhausted and starving constantly!

Ugh, yeah that is tough. Motivation is one thing, but when you have all those other things working against you, it's not easy.

This is interesting and probably would make me go. I like having goals. They motivate me more.
It's $325 for the 10 weeks, but hopefully worth it.

Re: Gym Motivation
No problem. It's actually fun. Tonight was my 2nd night. They mix it up quite a bit. Last night we did abs and TONS of kick boxing. Tonight we worked on arms and back, and more kick boxing. It's definately a WORKOUT.
