I need some. I have been going on and off but nothing is motivating me. I have some gym buddies, and when I see FH I work out with him. I feel like I have no energy when I am there. I'd like to take some kind of energy supplement, but don't want to have heart palpitations. Any suggestions?

Re: Gym Motivation
dont have gym buddies, most of the time ur end up having discussions and not getting a work out done.
go to the gym spend 1 hour there non-stop working out.....put ur ipod on blast your music and get into a zone.

No problem. It's actually fun. Tonight was my 2nd night. They mix it up quite a bit. Last night we did abs and TONS of kick boxing. Tonight we worked on arms and back, and more kick boxing. It's definately a WORKOUT.
That sounds like fun, its too bad there aren't any in Nassau County - I don't think I can make it there every night

Maybe joing some sort of program? For example, I just started this total body shaping program. It's 10 weeks...5 days a week.
Since it's something I signed up for, for a period of time, I feel that it's a committment that I made, and there is no question about going or not going. I know that I have somewhere to be Mon-Thurs nights and Sat morning, and that I'm guaranteed great results at the end of the 10 weeks. And there's always the option of joining again for another 10 wks when it's over. I guess because there's a 'goal', that it helps motivate me to go. Sort of like going to a college class...you just go.
I just joined a class and got my cousin to join with me. So, hopefully that will keep me going. Problem is that I live in SI, and FH lives in LI, so I travel back and forth very often. He hardly ever comes here. Plus after work I tutor 3 nights. I just don't have the time and I am exhausted and starving constantly!
I completely understand what you're saying! I work a full time job, a part time job and go to school 2 nights a week. I have no time for the gym, but I have been trying to make better effort at going. What if you changed up the stuff that you do at the gym to make it fun?

Re: Gym Motivation
My Ipod is my BEST motivation tool. I just get on and blast some music and it really keeps me going! Put together a playlist of your absolute favorite music and maybe you'll get excited to listen to it??
