had enough...

ive really had enough of all this wedding planning..is this bad of me?????? i was really worried this was going to happen. i never wanted a long engagement but thats what i got. and i just have no desire to do anything wedding related. this really stinks!!!


does anyone else feel this way or am i alone in this game???

i think its b/c my life is all school right now i dont have time to think of anything else. but i just feel like theres just way to much time.

maybe im just not having a good day!

I'm the same way. One minute I'm excited another minute I'm not into anything wedding related. Your not alone.

I'm sick of it too Megs!!! I throw out my bridal mags without reading them (I recycle them Jessica Buckley! )

Seriously, I'm sick of it too. I just want to do everything now and be done with it. I didn't want a long engagement either - but oh well. What the man wants, he gets. Until 'we do'. I kid, I kid.

i just am cranky... i never wanted a big wedding, long engagement, all the froof and frill.. and well im getting it ALL since its what FH wants... so i think im like mentally shutting down..

happens to me all the time.

i goon planning overload then i just need a couple of days to not plan anything.

if i had the time i still wouldnt want to do it.. i just want to show up!!

im so glad im not alone.. i feel like such a bad bride that i dont want to do anything

I feel the same exact way! Sometimes I feel obsessive with it , and other times not. If we could afford, I would have done it in it in 07. I feel like we have such a long engagement, theres really not much to do. Although all we did was book the DJ, we have over a year to still book flowers, limos, and photog. I feel like the other stuff if just gravy. And I have no desire to check out the gravy till the date is closer.

i totally understand ive been doing the gravy things little at a time cuz im picky and i want to be able to get the vendors i want so when i get the money i book... but its not like im jumping for joy over it i just think of all the things we could be doing with al this money like LIVE TOGHETER!!

No you aren't alone. I love the boards it's like my new myspace! lol but I'm not into wedding planning anymore. I'm dreading making appointments and traveling all over the island to meet with vendors. Sometimes I just want to hire a planner and say this is my budget, this is my vision, make it happen see you Oct 26 2008!

awwww...... Just think how sweet it will be when you do live together!!! I'm happy FH and I live together, but you guys are gonna be real newlyweds!!! Thats so cool. FH and I are already bitter old folks.

I didn't want all this either. My dream vision was a initmate ceremony in central park and dinner with immediate family members and close friends. And now we are having a full reception! But I'm trying to keep the details simple though.

you know my situation meg. and yes i wish i could just go to some destination place and get married there. but fh said he doesnt want anyone else with us on our honeymoon and doesnt want people to travel- so yup FH gets his way. but i got to move hte wedding date up so i got my way as well haha. but alot of it was due to knowing we will save a certain amount of money right before the wedding and that is all we get to spend. cause if i left my wedding date for 09 we would have more money and i would lose sight of wanting to buy a house and spend moreon the wedding. i havent even planned anything yet wedding wise and i am kind of sick of thinking of it. but it might be because i am doing the e-party and finishing school and i am soo stressed!

we really are so much alike its kinda scary!! the only wedding related thing ill be doing in like the last 4 months is going to tri county tomorrow to look at head pieces.. and booking the florist since we only need to leave 50 $

Funny thing is that I would also get married sooner (like 07) if we had the money, because this engagement will be 19 months when the wedding comes and I am ready now.
I think it is normal
