Everything seems to look great! It was so cool to see the baby finally. It was moving a lot, just as I had expected since I've been feeling him/her move so much for hte past 2 weeks. We told the tech right away to not bother looking for the sex. But, we saw everything else, it was ****ing its thumb, kicking its feet, it even looked like it was waving to us at one point and we saw the mouth moving (****ing motions).
It was a lot of fun, and our technician was SO nice. She said she's only supposed to give one picture, but she gave us about 8. The hardest part was that my bladder was so full, it hurt so much, I couldn't hold it in anymore!

Wow, that's great congratulations..I go for mine in about a month..why was your bladder full? do they make you drink a ton of water before the test, if they do that stinks that is sooooo uncomfortable!

Yes, they want you to drink several glasses of water before and hold it in, the bladder being full pushes more on the cervix and it's easier for them to see. I knew that when I went into this radiology clinic that I would have to wait even though my appt was at 9:30, I didn't go in until 10, so I went to he broom as soon as I got there, and drank 2 liters of water in 20 minutes (just before they called me in), and about half way through the exam, I started to get really uncomfortable. The thing is the test takes about 1 hour, since they have to take so many measurements and record all the details. It was worth it to see the baby and for normal pregnancies, it's only done 1x I think.

I HATED drinking 8oz of water an hour before and holding it!!! I swear its some kind of technician joke that they play on pregnant people!!! Its called Lets See If They Pee Themselves

Isn't it sooo exciting! We actually got to take home a video tape of our ultrasound and we have watched it a bunch of times since! I love being able to see all the things the baby is doing! I'm glad everything looked good!

Very cool! You're halfway there Nina!!!! Does it seem like the time is flying by or what?! I feel like you just told us you were preggo!
I had to drink 32 whopping ounces of water and hold it for 2 hours!!!!!!!!!!! I have NO idea why I had to drink that much. It was the most miserable day ever. :) Except for the fact that I got to see my little peanut!
Did you get a video? I got 3 pics and a short (7 minutes or so) video of the ultrasound. I love watching it. :)

OMG! the test takes an hour???? with a full bladder, I remember when they were looking at my Fibroids before my surgery and I had to have a full bladder and I was on the table less than 15 mins or so and I swear I was going to PEE all over that table!
Yikes!!!! it's so uncomfortable but hey, looking at my baby as opposed to looking at a bunch of Fibroids will be worth it!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats, Nina!!! I get to go for mine next Friday (I'll be 19w 1d)!!! Time is going so quickly!!
What's the next appointment after this? I think mine is after 4 weeks.
