Had my finals meeting last night at Huntington Townhouse

I just had my finals meeting! My wedding is Glatt Kosher, so some things may be different than other weddings there.

The best thing about it is the amount of food I'm getting. 6 passed hor dourves (sp?), 9 or 10 chafing dishes, 2 pasta and 3 carving stations. And the full cold display - like 9 other things. They're also gonna try and make kosher jerk chicken! And plantains!

Salad, appitizer, 4 entrees, dessert and wedding cake. Because it's kosher all of the entrees are set - I didn't get to choose, but I would have probably chose what they're giving me anyway. Choice of beef, chicken, fish or a vegetarian selection. Dessert is gonna be a large plate of pastries for each table.

Also getting food in our Bridal Suite before everything.

The only issue I had was the cake. Maybe it's because it's kosher, but I can only have a choice of 3 cakes! One smooth with little roses (any colors I want, wow ), one basketweave icing, and one traditional lacy icing! I can also have them with the little pillars or stacked. I don't even know if I can have a color. Will fax in a pic of the cake i had in mind and Danae said she'll try to see if it can be done without raising my price.

But I'm really getting good value. I'm very excited! It's really close now!

They suggested it! I said - well, my family's Jamaican, and she said - do you want Jerk Chicken? I nearly fell down. My grandma's very happy. It's just for the cocktail hour, but still!

but Jamaican Kosher weddings?
Or do they do a lot of both & mixed them for you?
that's really cool.I'm used things being so cookie cutter , that when they asked if I needed vegetarian meals , I was so excited!
I know that's more common now, but I've only been to one wedding that had it.

A lot of both and are mixing them for me. I might ask for - *gasp* curry chicken!

and we get a vegetarian dish too!

Which room are you in, the Governors? The Bridal suite is cute, but small - I don't think my BP will all fit in there.

It was Danae. She is nice. Could you at least get colored icing?
