Had my first dress fitting today!

I was kinda nervous since my dress didn't fit when it came in but my dieting paid off! I was so happy.

Everyone at village bridal has been so amazing. I highly recommend them.

What do they do at your first fitting? Do they just pin the bottom of your dress for height or do they do other things first?

Since I am an out of town bride the did the hem and the bustle at the same time. I also needed the top taken in a little bit.

I have mine in 3 weeks, I am so nervous that my dress won't fit. Well, since it's Lent, I have real motivation to give up high-fat foods

What do they do at your first fitting? Do they just pin the bottom of your dress for height or do they do other things first?

They do a lot depending on what you need. The hem is the last thing they do unless you dont need any upper alterations. If you think about it and they have to change the top or the sides a bit then it'll fall differently on your body and the length will slightly change.

My dress was about 2-3 sizes too big on top so it needed a lot of alterations.
