Ok so between realizing that I'm getting married in 6 months, picking up (and trying on) my headpiece and veil, buying my mom's shoes, and understanding that my FH is useless........
I finally had my first meltdown in the car. I was screaming at cursing at people in traffic, and just venting to my mother. I almost cried, but she stopped me. She made me promise that I won't have a real meltdown until January
Then of course, I come home and try to explain to FH, and he's all 'Everything's done......what are you upset about?????'
He thinks we'll be able to pick songs, readings, readers, and a menu in 5 minutes

Re: Had my first meltdown today
aww, im so sorry. but men are ridiculous at times. my fh keeps on telling me that 'theres nothing really left to do' too. he is out of his mind i think.... we still gotta do tuxes, gifts, invitations, menus, church details, and pick out flowers. but apparently thats 'nothing'
why cant u have a meltdown until january? lol. i guess u have a few more weeks until u can actually have a legit meltdown, huh? lol

Re: Had my first meltdown today
awww hang in ther ehun we have all had them. Honestly look how long you have held out thats awesome! You know Matt is just as oblivious with the planning so I can sympathize with you there.
Also if it makes you feel better I scream and curse at other drivers all the time. I dont have to be having a melt down I just have road rage.
Have a drink tonight and relax take the night off from planning, play some rockband and just veg out.

HAHA! This sounds like my life but I assure you it will be fine. Get one thing done at a time. Some stuff you do have to wait till later to do so do what u can now and then set aside time to do that other stuff when it gets closer to the date...

Re: Had my first meltdown today
Thanks girls........ok I feel a bit better.
FH just ordered ring pillows and bags for OOT bags. And we selected readers and readings.
His defense was that I never asked him for help. Which I could swear I did, but he could be right. I may have hinted at it, but I guess hints don't work.
Lesson learned.......if I need/want him to do something, I have to ask him straight out and not hint about it.
Deep breaths............

Re: Had my first meltdown today
I totally understand- i had another meltdown last night. And as i have vented to you girls before my FH is the same. He keeps saying everything is done dont worry about it. I dont think any of the guys realize all the extras that go into planning a wedding. And that we are doing all these extra things. Its normal to have breakdowns. Well it is for me anyway- I seem to be having them every few weeks lately

Re: Had my first meltdown today
Oh Laura!! You are so organized and on top of things, please don't worry! There's lots to do and I'm glad Mike stepped it up when you told him. That's what I've learned through this process too - hinting does not work. They need explicit instructions. FH and I have a sit down meeting one night every two weeks to talk about household issues and wrapped into that, I bring up any pending wedding issues at that time. Its been working for us and keeping Mike on the same page with me - though I'm sure most of the info doesn't stay in his brain for too long . . .we do what we can.

Re: Had my first meltdown today
Sorry! If you makes so feel better I've already had like 10 meltdowns. I think you made it a long time without one!
