Had my first wedding meltdown last night.

My poor, sweet, fiance.

So, my mind was wandering and daydreaming about the wedding.

We are getting married at 5:30pm on a Saturday (at RH). We have a BUNCH of OOT guests and the hotel is right next to the RH.

So... in my freakout I started thinking... alot of these people are going to be coming in Friday night. They will have NOTHING to do before 5:00 at night on Saturday. What if they start hitting the bar really early during the day and they are TANKED by the time the wedding comes? Will it get all messy? Will there be fights or something crazy like that? Im referring mostly to my friends. My fiance seems to think people act differently and more mature for weddings, but I dont give my friends that much credit. They love to drink and when they are bored, they drink.

So, completely irrational....

Thanks for listening

Re: Had my first wedding meltdown last night.

My guess is that you will be so happy on your day that you won't even notice if a few of your friends are kind of tipsy.

Maybe you could offer them up some suggestions of things to do. Point them in the direction of Tanger Outlets or one of the malls to keep them occupied.

Re: Had my first wedding meltdown last night.

I wouldn't even think about that. Don't stress yourself out with 'What If' nothing is going to bother you that day, Its all about you and your FH, always remember that. You can't worry about what other people will do. It will all be okay!

Re: Had my first wedding meltdown last night.

Awww don't worry, stay calm!! it;s normal to freak out a bit, especially when random and potentially bad thoughts pop into your head. Do a little research and try finding a list of things to give the oot guests to keep them occupied.

OMG Melissa please!!! Drinking is a hobby for the vast majority of our friends, especially mine. Most of them are 30 and over! I know what you mean. Laura's idea is good..send them outlet shopping. Make them spend all of their extra $$$ so they won't have the $$$ money for drinks.
