Had my Shower!!

Well, after all that worrying when my shower was going to be I had it yesterday!!! My sisters did a fabulous job, and I had a really wonderful time! I had an idea, so wasn't totally suprised, but this did make it MUCH easier for me to relax and enjoy myself. Peter helped me open the gifts so that helped too. As you all know it's hard work being in the hot seat!

It was co-ed and a few kids were there (mostly our immediate family) for a total of about 40 ppl. I don't think the co-ed thing was bad at all, I think it went by quick and people enjoyed themselves. It was in Pinang, a Malaysian restaurant on Queens Blvd, and I thought it was great that my sister chose an unique place.

I actually ended up going shopping at BRU on Saturday, b/c I just HAD to buy some essentials (onesies, sleepers, burp clothes, socks, cap and booties, washclothes). Well, the great thing is that I hardly got any of the stuff that I bought!! We got a lot of blankets and bath stuff. We didn't get as many clothes as I expected, and the few that we did were larger sizes, so it worked our perfectly. Some of the larger gifts we got were the crib and dresser, glider, Graco car seat and Maclaren stroller. Instead of a wishing well, my sister asked everyone to bring one book to get started on our baby's library.

Everthing is stored at my sister's for now, but we will hopefully be able to start on the nursery in the next couple of weeks.
