Had My shower today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(LONG)

Yippee! I'm soo excited. I knew it was today(I just figured it out the other day) But I tried to act surprised. My Mom, MOH Tammy & my friends Kim & Rosa really made it awesome!
The theme was a Victorian Tea Party(my dream shower) & it was perfect! It was at The Printers Devil in Port Jefferson in a little party atrium(really pretty)the food was great. We did have a problem with parking due to the festival going on in the village, but everything worked out fine.
I got almost everything on my registries(a few doubles off Macys but I'm not worried)& so many thoughtful gifts. All of my out of town Aunts sent gifts to my MOH's house-I couldn't believe it.
My friend Rosa organized the games & every guest left with a small shopping bag filled with favors & prizes-even the waitstaff said they've never seen such an organized shower!
My friend Valerie that I've known since I was born got there late with her baby-I didn't think she was coming-that was the first time I cried. My dear friend Kim made me a beautiful shadowbox w/ my invite-it's so me, I cried again,


My Dad's wife had to go out of town(her Mom needed emergancy surgery) she wrote me a beatiful poem about marriage & sent me beautiful gifts.
I could go on for days, but I'll just post a few pics

How exciting and sooo beautiful! I'm so glad your day was filled with so much love. That's one of the best feelings when you look around and see all the effort people put into these things, and then the hand-made gifts are just tear-jerkers. I balled at my shower too. I was just filled with so much emotion, and was just truly touched, as I'm sure you were. Way to go on getting all those goodies... Aren't you just dying to play 'house' with your FH?! Now for the fun job of writing thank-yous!! Enjoy it all!!

I'm feeling so lucky & thankful. I almost forgot about 2 other awesome gifts. My MOH & my Mom had an 11x14 picture of my great-grandparents, my grandpa & his siblings restored for me. It's dated 1926. I LOVE IT!

Also my friends Rosa & Kim made my thank you cards from homemade paper & put teapots on them-all I need to do is write them out!!!
Fi & I live together already & have tons of stuff-right now half of my living room is filled with boxes-I need more closets!

You sound alot like me. I would have loved a gift like that of my great-grandparents. Wow, I just got the chills! Thanks for sharing all your joy! Enjoy the mounds and piles of presents... or as I like to think of it: the piles of love surrounding you!!
