Had my shower yesterday!!

What a surprise!! The wedding is Sept 30 so it was so early I had no clue!! I was supposed to go to look at veils with my mother and friend and my friend had to cancel and my aunt was up from florida for my cousins graduation party (saturday) so we asked her to come along! Actually I helped set it up myself by asking her!! I went over moms and we were meeting my aunt for brunch at a little restaurant mom wanted to try. NO CLUE!! We pull up and the parking lot was full! Mom made some comments and I got a bit suspicious so I started looking at the cars but couldnt place them-besides its to early for the shower I thought! As we are walking in I thought I saw my FSIL's head pop up but again I thought naahhhh too early. Well, we walk into the room and I saw my cousin is with my aunt so I stopped and said hello, then hello to my aunt -now picture me not quite in the room so I dont see everyone yet just a few- then I see my moms neighbor at a diff table so I thought, Oh Jean is here, what a coincidence!! So I said hello (yes from the same spot) then I started seeing everyone else. Well I still dont get it so I just stood there saying hello to everyone almost CRYING-I had tears in my eyes-because I couldnt register why everyone was there and I knew nothing about it, and why were we there?? I mean HELLO!!!! I guess someone shouted Happy Bridal Shower after the 10th hello (no joke) and I just realized it but everyone was laughing... What a sight! At least they all knew I was surprised! It was wonderful, we had 21 people but my goodness...so many gifts!! FI knew nothing about it until Thursday because he doesnt keep good secrets so it was great, and everyone played a good act the past few days! I do have to say, it was a wonderful surprise but knowing gives you a bit of an edge. If you know, you can enjoy it more I think....I knew when the engagement was so I was ready but I just kinda floated thru yesterday in a fog and last night about 10pm it really hit me and all I did was cry!!! I was so upset it was over and that I was so shocked (really, I walked around for the 3 hours shaking and not really believing what was happening) but it was lovely. It was at the Garden Grill in Smithtown. Very nice place and I heard the food was great although I was too shocked to eat!! Sorry so long but I just had to share!! Still cant believe it!!!
