Had no choice but to do the newlywed chop

Original post by Espo22

i had let my hair grow for the wedding and didnt even get it cut in the LOOOOOOOOOONGEST time. On top of that, i had died it from blonde to red, then did red a couple of times then a few weeks before the wedding went back to blonde. Because of all that, my hair was just dead, at least 5 inches of it was fried. Since the HM ive had so much trouble with it, no matter how much i blow dry my hair it just laid flat and dead and looked horrible. Saturday night when we went out i put it in a ponytail as soon as we got out bc it just looked horrible so had no choice but to chop it off. I was planning to cut it anyways but just not yet but i do love it, now it looks like my hair has style and looks 100% healthier

here are pics but they were taken 8 hours after i cut it so the back was a bit messed up and stuff

i actually think im also going to go just a little bit shorter. I told him i wanted it up to where my neck ended and he did exactly that, now i think i want it to end in the middle of my neck and then as it goes towards the front it goes longer, its how it is now, the back is shorter and front is a longer

FIERCE cut...get it girl lol !!

thank you so much

i was looking at your wedding pics before and you looked absolutely stunning

aww...thanks! I clean up pretty nice

i kept joking that its a miracle what hair and make up artists can do

no truer words have EVER been said!

oh yeah i know. I had broken out, and the night before was crying that i'll be the ugliest bride ever, i was exhausted from the whole week and felt like such cr*p the night before. Also didnt have time to get my hair highlighted and had the worst roots, luckily my mom did it with toner in the morning.

So true. Many people say that it's easier to have short hair, but that's not even close to true! The only people who have 'easy' hair are the ones that can wash, brush and go and have pretty hair lol I'm SO not that person!

yeah mine doesnt stay either, in the back it flips the opposite way if i dont sit there and take time to do it. Thats why i want to get it shorter and do the stacked look to make it a bit easier in the back, the longer front part is alot easier to do

Yeh, definitely! Do you plan on going red again? That would look really edgy....the Posh cut and red! Not that I don't like the blonde...lol Just asking!

i was thinking about it but the only reason i dont want to is bc whenever i have had short hair like this in the past i had red hair so dont want to look the way i did during alot of my teenage years hahaha, so gonna go blonder for a bit, then maybe in the fall do red.

Would you ever do a medium brown with red highlights? I can see that looking great too.

maybe if i did alot of red highlights. I also like the blonde with pink highlights underneath ahahaha and was thinking about it but im confused, thats why when the guy asked me yesterday if im also getting color i said no bc im undecided

LOVE the pink highlights! I'd go for that! Do it, do it, do it! LOL If my administrators allowed it, I'd do it in a heartbeat!
