Had problem with a vendor

I called Sir oliver limos cause they had positive feedback on the site but I didn't like there attitude at all. They were talking bad about all the other limo places on here. I was comparing prices and they said you have to compare apples with apples no apples and oranges. Since my wedding is in Sept. they would budge on any price at all. Meanwhile everyother limo place did. The guy I was talking to acted very arrogent and cocky. I did not like how he was bashing the other limo companies on here. I really don't think they acted very proffessional.

I didn't have a great experience either, but yours was definitely worse. Sorry you had to go through that. Fortunately, there are other companies that come highly recm'd on this site, that you can check out.

I don't know who Sir Oliver was bashing, and while agree in general that bashing the competition is unprofessional behavior there is ONE limo company on this site whose reputation is so bad I couldn't fault any limo company (or any other wedding vendor for that matter) for speaking negatively about them.

That said, I did compare apples to apples, because I knew I wanted a white stretch limo with the capacity to fit the number of people that would be riding in the limo. I didn't want a stretch SUV or hummer or an antique car or anything.

Serenity Limos not only provided me with the best prices (between Sir Oliver, Royalty and All Star), they also provided me with the best overall customer service during the search in terms of answering my questions, showing me limos, explaining drop off and pick up procedures and practices, discussing extras like champagne, aisle runners etc.

I had a similar experience with Sir Oliver when I was calling around for pricing. They were kinda nasty and acting like I was wasting their time. Plus they wouldnt budge on their price at all which was quite higher than a few other places I called. They tried to force me to tell them where I was getting other quotes from. Once I did, they started knocking the other limo companies. I got a BAD vibe from them and never called them back. I was wondering why other people reccomend them so highly. If I was going solely on reccomendations, I probably would have hired them. But once I spoke to them, I was totally turned off.

I didn't even call Sir Oliver or Royalty based on things that I have heard about on this site. I went with Top of the World (also a vendor on here). They were very nice and worked with us to make sure that we were happy with what we got.

I got the same nasty attitude with Sir oliver... I went with Camelot Limos....they were professional and worked with my budget and needs.

I reccomend Dynasty Limousines. They are a reccomended vendor on here and Charlie negotiated an extremely fair price with us.

When I called them someone there told me that they don't drive to brooklyn because of some 'law' that doesn't allow their limos in NY. Yeah right whatever. I called back 2 months later and this time they didn't mention anything about that special 'law'. Needless to say I won't be booking with them! Actually I still haven't decided who to book with.

I had a good experience with sir oliver- I met with Rich and he was extremely helpful- i am sorry you had a bad experience with them...

That weird, cause my expereince with them was so positive, I called them when I was looking into limos but htey did not have the LImo bus we needed, but they were so nice that they gave me a list of like 5 other companies that may have what I needed. THey were so nice.

PS: the company I ended up going with was a nightmare, and they are such a hugely reccommended LIW ndor, but they sucked!!

so you never know....

I have had a great experience with Sir Oliver so far!!! I will tell you the details after the wedding.

I have had awful experience with vendors on here that other people say are wonderful. It is kind of crazy!!

I think alot of times these companies don't like to be compared to others but they should realize it's alot of competiton out here and we are looking for the best deal. Anyone who give me attitude can kiss my u know what it is too much business out here.

My family and I have used Sir Oliver many times in the past and will be for my wedding as well. We have dealt with Rich and with Jennifer and both have been extremely polite and helpful. They have beautiful cars and we have always loved the drivers. Thier prices have always been good in my eyes and I do not think you can put down a company for not lowering their price for your wedding. Have you taken a gander at gas prices lately?????????? Lets be fair!
