I called Sir oliver limos cause they had positive feedback on the site but I didn't like there attitude at all. They were talking bad about all the other limo places on here. I was comparing prices and they said you have to compare apples with apples no apples and oranges. Since my wedding is in Sept. they would budge on any price at all. Meanwhile everyother limo place did. The guy I was talking to acted very arrogent and cocky. I did not like how he was bashing the other limo companies on here. I really don't think they acted very proffessional.

My family and I have used Sir Oliver many times in the past and will be for my wedding as well. We have dealt with Rich and with Jennifer and both have been extremely polite and helpful. They have beautiful cars and we have always loved the drivers. Thier prices have always been good in my eyes and I do not think you can put down a company for not lowering their price for your wedding. Have you taken a gander at gas prices lately?????????? Lets be fair!
lol.....being rude is not fair to me. wow you really don't make any sense. They are in a competitive business of course you should be able to neg. If you buy a car do you pay exactly what they are asking for? I don't think so. I am not going to pay all this money and have someone treat me the way that guy did. Well I hope your day goes smooth with them but I am not going to wast me time or money.

All I was trying to say is 'You get what you pay for' most of the time. I certaintly was not saying that it is okay to be rude. Not every business has neg. pricing and quite frankly I would rather know it is one set price than wonder if next Bride got it for less. I think it is actually more professional to have a standard price for an in season wedding. (april-oct) In a service business I would not want to neg. for a million obvious reasons, Would you want to negotiate the price of your next Haircut or the price of your next dinner out?? Not me.

I understand what you are saying but when you are in a business like this then yes I would like to neg. If you buy a house you will pay asking price? I doubt it. When it comes to a hair cut and dinner I am not paying for example 1,000. You can't compare paying about $45 for a haircut or dinner to 1,000 for a limo. They are 2 totally different things. I don't like to get ripped off either so if someone else is going to give me the same thing with a lower price then I would rather go for it as well as a lot of other people.

I don't know who Sir Oliver was bashing, and while agree in general that bashing the competition is unprofessional behavior there is ONE limo company on this site whose reputation is so bad I couldn't fault any limo company (or any other wedding vendor for that matter) for speaking negatively about them.
That said, I did compare apples to apples, because I knew I wanted a white stretch limo with the capacity to fit the number of people that would be riding in the limo. I didn't want a stretch SUV or hummer or an antique car or anything.
Serenity Limos not only provided me with the best prices (between Sir Oliver, Royalty and All Star), they also provided me with the best overall customer service during the search in terms of answering my questions, showing me limos, explaining drop off and pick up procedures and practices, discussing extras like champagne, aisle runners etc.
I used Serenity for my bachelorette party & they were great

So sorry you had a bad experience. I think every company has good and bad reviews. I hope you find a vendor that can give you a good price and treat you with respect.

If you are still looking, RJ's Exotic Limos in Wantagh had competitive prices and were all about bargaining. their cars were also beautiful and I got good customer service.

Re: Had problem with a vendor
sorry about what happened...
I called them for a quote... after giving them all the info they need, they told me they will call me back with the price... but they never did. I end up using All Star Limo instead.
i must say i was rather surprised to hear so many negative things about sir oliver...i am using them and so is someone else that i know for thier wedding and they have been nothing but nice and accommodating...i've always dealt with a girl when it comes to sales and she is wonderful...i believe her name is jennifer...sorry to hear you had a bad time...i am looking foward to using them though.
