Had the biggest scared in my life

i couldn't find my e-ring for 15mins. usually, i put it in my ring box or in my pocket when i'm cleaning. i put my clothes in my washer and was getting ready to go out. i couldn't find my ring! not in my ring box, our washer is a side-loader and an older one so i wasn't sure how the water will drain. panicking..i stopped the washer, with water all over the floor. no ring in the pockets! i didn't have it on yesterday but pretty sure it was in my pockets of the jean i just put into the washer. searched all over the house while crying and praying. no ring. finally decided to finished the laundry and hope it'll turn soon. as soon as i picked up the wet clothes from the sink, the ring fell out! praise GOD!

wow...i take mine off to do my make up..usually i put it in my make up case...this morning i guess i put it on my shirt (did the layered look and removed one to apply)...well, i forgot all about it since it wasnt' sitting there like usual...and i picked up my shirt and put it on to hear this LOUD crash on the tile floor...my ring! eeek! how could I????

i felt so dumb afterwards.

i know! so happy! cuz the ring is not insured yet! FH have been procrasting (sp?) on that! i know he was panicking too but he told me to remain calm. heheh..i know he's going to get it insured by this weekend!

noticed my band have more scratches on it. the jeweler should be able to smooth that out, right? it's platinum.

wow, thank god you found it. and yes, the jeweler should be able to buff out most scratches from a platinum band. i had mine done and it looks so pretty!!

a few months ago i was baking an apple pie from scratch. i took my ring off during the 'mix apple slices with ingredients and stuff pie part'. i put it on a placemat that had a centerpiece on it. w/o me realzing my FMIL took the placemat and CP and put it over on the kitchen table, no realizing my ring was on the placemat with it. i put the pie in the oven and started to clean up and noticed the ring was gone and couldn't remember, b/c the placemat was no longer in front of me where i had put it... omg!! i was panicked for 20 minutes and me and FMIL looked for it-- finally, FFIL walked over and found it on the kitchen table, still on the placemat in two seconds! FH had no idea, we waited to tell him b/c i was afraid. it was that day that i went to bed bath and beyond and bought these little ring holders (cats with long tails) and put one in the kitchen, one by the bed on my nightstnad and one in the bathroom-- those are the only three places i put my ring from then on!! it works great!!

ETA: almost forgot to add: we were about two minutes away from going into that pie and dumping the guts out thinking it had went IN the pie!!!!

I know exactly how you feel. I was at work the other day and looked down to realize my ring wasn't on!! I NEVER take it off. I almost threw up at my desk! Called FH paniked, he went home and found it in our bed. Somehow it came off while I was sleeping!
I'm really glad you found your ring!! Now get it insured!

I scared the heck out of myself once with the misplaced ring - I had completely forgotten I dropped it into the cleaning solution the jeweler gave me!

I used to have a really bad habit of absent-mindedly taking off my jewelry. I'd be sitting there watching tv and realize i wasn't wearing my watch.... I had no idea when or where I had taken it off. Add that to the fact that I lost a watch and a diamond necklace that my FH had given me as a gift. I was beginning to think he would never buy me a ring because of my horrible track record!

When I got my ring, FH told me he would KILL me if I lost it and I've had to get out of the habit of taking my jewelry off. I never take my ring off now. I shower with it on, clean with it.... everything. Only time I ever take it off is to clean it. Not worth the panic when you can't find it!

That happened to me....Now I put it in it's ring box next to my bed every night. Thank god we have it insured.
