Well - did you invite them in for a cup of coffee and chat about eternal damnation for celebrating your birthday?

the woman started talking and wanted to give me a pamphlet about a bible study group, i politely said no thank you and closed the door.

i wonder if they saw my mezzuzzah? i guess it's better that they dont know i'm jewish....

Maybe that's why they knocked!
I bet if anyone invited them in, they wouldn't even know what to say since everyone always says, 'No thanks, see ya!'

Re: hahaha

I had some who came three times last summer - I made the mistake of telling my name, so they would come and ask for me (I work out of a home).

I just have such a hard time telling them no (usually someone would come save me, cuase like an asshat I would just stand there and listen to their bible verses).

ETA: My dad invited them in once. He said they were 'interesting'

He said it sounded like a very interesting religion, and he was hoping they would come back to chat again, until my mom explained no holidays, and the amount of time Jehovah Witnesses spend at church (is it church?) and out spreading the word. He lost interest fast.

Re: hahaha

Now when they come my father asks them questions (they very rarely know the answer) and then they come back on the next round with the ansewr and he asks another....its quite a vicious cycle

However...when we were little, my mother would invite them in, b/c with 4 kids in 5 years there were too many rugrats and she welcomed the company for an hour or two, even if it was a religous convo and how they can save her
