So I went with FMIL for a hair trial and the woman doing the hair for the wedding said I need to keep my hair one length. I'm afraid that it isn't going to hold curls being one length without at least long layers. Has anyone heard of this??

I'm not sure what style you chose, but if you were doing it up, it may be because if it's too choppy it will not have a smooth look to it and is harder to keep uniform when putting up. Either way I don't see why long layers wouldn't be possible to work with if she knows what shes doing. Sounds like she may be trying to keep her job as easy as possible. Did you ask her why she says this and what would happen if you did have layers?
