So, my sister is pretty good at doing hair and make-up, but she is not a 'professional'. Should I let her do my hair & make-up for the wedding or should I just book a professional. I'm figuring since I'm spending a lot of $$ of video/photo, maybe I should go pro...Help.

Re: Hair and make-up advice
I was wondering about this too my BFF works for Mac on the side of her other professions lol she wants to do it but I don’t know if I should let her or hire someone.
But I think most make up artists use mac products anyways

will she have time to do it all? i wouldn't care if she's a pro or not, just if she can do it the way you like it! have some trials and see

Re: Hair and make-up advice
Try some hair and makeup trials. See how it comes out and see how long it lasts. If it is great and you feel comfortable for the day of, then use your sister!!

If it were me, I would go pro - I am sure your sister is very good - but its your wedding day - if you dont go pro for this, when else would ya? Treat yourself and put your mind at ease and get a professional - jmo

Re: Hair and make-up advice
I think you should do trials with your sister.
My thing is this: I am having my hair professionally done. But I am doing my own makeup. I do it well PLUS I do NOT like anyone touching my face. It freaks me out.
The guys aren't going to be having their hair or makeup professionally done, and they still look fine in the videos & pics that I've seen. I PERSONALLY (due to my weird don't touch my face issues) do not see the need to have makeup done professionally if you are unsure about it anyway.

Have her do a 'trial'. Then take pics outside and inside. Decide how it looks!

ITA. And make sure you take pictures a few hours after having your makeup and hair done-just to see how it lasts.
