Hair and Makeup???

Do all of you May brides book hair and makeup yet? I am having trouble finding people available for my day. I don't even mind going out to a salon. But where to go???

I am getting my hair done at Salone di Cappelli on Covert Ave in Stewart Manor (been going there for years) and the make up artist is coming to my house. Here is her site:

i booked Jenn the Hair Genie, a vendor on here, for hair. for make-up i'm in the process of looking.

Thanks I might look into this. I am really picky about hair and makeup and should not have waited until the last minute. It's hard to find the right person.

I actually just posted on the vendor page this morning. I just don't know how the people are. How is jenn from the hair genie? Did you have a trial with her? I am really picky and know what I would like done. any info. would be great. Thanks

jenn is great! yes i had a trial with her. very patient and a good listener. you don't feel like she knows best-you feel like you know what you want and she can execute-but she will make recommendations based on experience-BUT (key) is not pushy at all!!!

i have a thread on the May board with pics. not the best photo, but her website has tons of photos of her work.

You can do a search for some of the make up artists on BHB and the 05 board and you can see some options. Most of the vendors who are on this site have very good reputations.

I have a makeup trial on Saturday. I am really excited! I still haven't found a hair person yet. Some of the vendors FMd me but I do not know anything about them. I might end up going to a salon near me if I find the right person and they are open. I still don't know where.

I'm two days before you and I'm also having a hard time finding hair and makeup...it sucks. Jenn's booked, Oksana's booked...almost everyone's booked!

I booked my regular stylist who I LOVE!

Lisa of Eddie D's in Ronkonkoma (formerly of Sheer Imagination in Holbrook) She's awesome and sweet and I wouldn't have anyone else touch my hair! She'll also be doing at least one of my BM's and maybe my mom's hair too.
