Hair and makeup help!

Hi ladies,
Can anyone recommend hair and makeup people? I know there are a bunch listed on this site, but I want to know who people have used and loved instead of calling random people... info about where they are located, because I assume they charge more for travelling farther away, how much they charge, etc. My wedding will be in Great Neck, and it's pretty soon (less than 2 months away!!!), so I prefer someone close to there who can travel to me, and not one of the most popular ones because they will already be booked and probably be too expensive for me.

Honestly--you might want to call the vendors on here & see if they are available for your day b/c honestly I booked my makeup artist in MArch for my november wedding & some that I called were already taken. Just a thought.

I used Dina from Beautiful Possibilities and she was fantastic. She's on here. Good Luck!

My session worked out well--she is great. YOu must tell me how 'the island' is after you go!!! I can't wait to go it looks so peaceful. Where are you staying?

Have you tried April from Creative Designs? I just bumped my trial pictures (on 06 board) for other brides. She's awesome. Dina from Beautiful Possibilities works with her a lot, so I did both trials. Dina was awesome too. I just want to try airbrushing before I book makeup. I booked April

They are both vendors here, I would check them out!

Hair! I agree on April! I loved her! I also sent my friend who is getting married next weekend about a MONTH AGO! and she was available.

Makeup- I have a girl that I was going to use until friend who is a makeup artist offered to do mine for my wedding for free. Her name is Nicole Tenga- 516-263-6205. She uses only MAC and is VERY AFFORDABLE. The trial is at her house in Westbury and she comes to you the day of the wedding.
