hair and makeup question

I'm starting to have doubts about the people I booked, so I made an appointment for a trial with Jackie and Margaret from I Make Up You. Has anyone else used them? Feedback, please!!!

i had a trial with them a while back...this is just my opinion, but i wasn't too thrilled...my mom saw me afterwards and said it was okay, but that the hair and makeup made me look much older...i found the makeup was very 'heavy'...maybe this is my fault because i wasn't too specific with what i wanted...they were both very nice though and easy to talk to so ask for what you want...

Why don't you try Maximus in the Source Mall? I have done make up and hair with them before (for other weddings), they are great. I am having my trial for my wedding soon and they are also coming to me the day of my wedding. Antonetta will be doing my make-up and Francine will be doing my hair. Antonetta is also the bridal coordinator at Maximus and you can reach her at 516-222-8880.

Definitely try Gorgeous Faces by Jillian - she is great! I had a trial and loved it. She will get to know what your tastes are and do your makeup to fit your style!! Call her for a trial!

Just had a trial with them - I agree - the makeup was definitely heavy. I'm not used to a lot of makeup though, so maybe that was my problem.

They are both super nice and down to earth. They are moving their shop too, which makes me kinda nervous...

Octobergirl..are you looking for someone to come to you or are you going to a salon? You could try Sole Salon in Huntington - their makeup person's name is Denise, their # is 516 241 9805. I have no idea if she has your date available, but she's a nice person and pictures of brides she's done are very pretty.

octobergirl - let me know if you still need another referral - I just had a trial with someone I was very happy with. She travels to you, and costs $100 the day of.
