Hair and Makeup Trials?

Has anyone booked any trials yet? I have one coming up in June with M I A. I'm very excited about it. I figured I'd do it the same day as our engagement party so at least I would already be done up for it!

I've booked my first trial for September to coincide with a trip I have to take to LI for another wedding. You can do them anytime, from what I understand, so long as their available, and if you bring specific ideas, they can sometimes try two styles (within reason). I'm hoping to have only one trial . . . . Definitely take pics though!!!

I feel like the prices for hair and makeup are nuts!

Hair Genie and Makeup by Oksana . . . . and yes, the prices for everyone are high. That's why I'm hoping for ONE trial. I was considering NO trials at all, because I'm doing an 'up-do' and how bad can it be, if you've seen their work??? As far as makeup, anything's better than what I can do to myself, so I do not necessarily think you HAVE to pay for trials if you communicate with the artists, perhaps meet with them so they know your hair and skin color, type and ideas. You can save money on this expense that way, and I may do so myself if money gets tight.

Brides look beautiful every time, and any experienced stylist/artist is NOT going to mess up!!
