Re: Hair and Makeup Trials
The only reason to do it way in advance is to book the girl you want before someone else does. I have been meaning to book my trial... then I chopped off all my hair, opps!... so now I have to wait until my hair grows back to do my trial I may just put a deposit down with someone for them to hold the date for me so that I don't miss out on them.

Re: Hair and Makeup Trials
I did mine one year in advance. I recommend Mya from Cosmetic Artistry (in huntington) and Jacqueline Nicole for Makeup (in smithtown)

I LOVE Mya. I had the trial at the same time I was taking my epics. 11 months in advance.

Re: Hair and Makeup Trials
I'll probably do one in the fall or spring...they're both my friends so its nothing super formal to schedule. We can play around whenever.

Re: Hair and Makeup Trials
The guy doing my hair has done it several times for weddings so I dont need a trial... not sure who is doing the make up yet... I might just have my sister do mine, and everyone else to their own...
every time i get my make up done, i feel like there is a pound of crap on my face...

Re: Hair and Makeup Trials
I already have both booked (my makeup I booked the same person who did my epics and my hair is a family friend). I'll probably do trials around5-6 months before the wedding.

Re: Hair and Makeup Trials
I booked my hair and makeup without having a trial but that's because I knew who I wanted. Probably won't have my trial till like April or May of 2010.

Re: Hair and Makeup Trials
i just had mine (so between 9 and 10 months before). i had called at the year mark and she said she usually starts doing trials about 10 months before. im sure it varies a little from person to person but if you want it done now and they are ok with that, then go for it!
