OK! i think my pain in the butt has finally found something i like. this pic - but in big curls.....maybe a few pieces pinned back with little rhinestone hair pins to keep it in place...
how would it look with a tiara??

Yes definently the first hairstyle. The pieces of hair pulled back would only be halfway. Not totally from your face. If your worried about not having the long curls next to your face.
Look at my pictures. What your looking for sounds like my hairstyle without the few curls on top of my head behind the tiara.
I also had a cathedral veil.

Right, just on the side, so it doesn't look like your hair is slicked back into a half up half down look. You want the fullness of the curls..

Jessica, I think it will lokk beautiful, it's just a matter of achieving it. Jessica Simpson has pretty short layers - almost like bangs . . . which part of the style are you looking for, because to me it looks like it is all in the haircut . . .But it is STUNNING and you would look so pretty with it.

thanks BRI! that means a lot to me...
i have the long bangs and the long layers...i don't know how much hair i want sticking to my face all day, so i guess we will see when she is done curling it. i guess from then, i will see how much hair i want pinned back.
do u think the swarovski tiara would look good with it?

prob is my wedding is next weekend - and taralei hasn't gotten back to me yet as far as having time for a new trial. we did the big curls down but i haven't fallen in love with a 'front' i like.

OMG eogara..you are so sweet. thanks! i think i really want to do it! i was a bit nervous becuase of like no trial with that style but i figured that since i know she can do the curls, thats half the battle! thanks again!

I think it's absolutely gorgeous! I WISH I could wear my hair like that. I get so frustrated with the heat that I definitely have to wear my hair all up for my own wedding.

Shea- you seem to like the criss-crossed look (I don't know what it's called) in the front. Here's a pic of how mine is being done. Maybe you could get the front like this?
