I know it sounds weird but I have this auburn red streak in my hair....lol.... my natural hair is brown and I was born with this single streak of red (auburnish). I rinsed my hair black for years now but I noticed that I look blah and dull in my pics now. This is a pic of my natural streak....lol... weird to me...Even when I rinse my hair black, it still shows up.You can see it on the right. Does putting light streaks in your hair brighten up your appearance? I want to try something diff
i have naturally dark dark brown hair, i have dyed it for years lighter browns and my fave was when i had soft highlights, it looks so nice up. but im a big fan of all brunette too. sorry i may not be of any help!

I have never had streaks in my hair other than the one that I was born with.

I was born with dark hair that naturally has reddish streaks. I used to dye it almost black all the time, but I like the way it looks when it's highlighted a bit--it's brighter...and my hair person suggested doing that so that it not be so dark for pictures and give it more depth.
