hair dilema ... what to do PICS added

My hair is straight, long and really havy. Never holds curls. I really wanted to wear my hair ½ up w/ curls.
I had two trials so far. First trial curls lasted about an hour. Second trial more like 4 hours. After that it just looks blah… frizzy and wavy.
I’m starting to consider wearing it straight and pulled back. If it starts to frizz up on me I can run flat iron through in 2 min. We will make sure to have flat iron plugged in a bridal suite.
However I have to figure out how the style will look. Have not seen many brides w/ straight long hair styles.
What are you thoughs?

adding pics from last trial
1st pic at the salon
2nd pic is 4 hours later

what if you did it all up straight.....I saw some great looks on celebs on the red carpet that were all up and straight

I agree with the above post-- why not pull it back and that way you won't have to worry about flat ironing it... unless you are totally opposed to updos?

Why not do something like this? You're hair might be able to hold this better

I really like the trial, BUT if your hair can't hold the curls I think you should go with straight and not chance it.

Straight styles seem simple but don't forget that you'll be in a gorgeous wedding dress and your makeup will be flawless. Overall even with a simple hairstyle everything will work together.

How about something like this, it's more of a wave on the ends. This style would also look nice totally straight:

I love this. i love the pony tail that is wavy but not curly. it has the same effect as what you are going for i think.

I have the same problem. my hair does not hold a curl very well. i really want a hair style that a past bride had ..am i allowed to post a pic of her? lol i saved her hairstyle pic. i think i will leave a curling iron in the bridal suite and do a quick curl if i have to throughout the night. and bring lots and lots of hair spray lol

i LOVE LOVE LOVE curls, but my hair is the same way, only i cant hold curls for anything! so im doing a complete updo, possibly with some curls (held together by bobby pins of course)

if you want it down i agree with the above poster- the pic of the blonde girl- half up with a touch of curl!

When I was actor (not too many years ago) we had a trick for keeping our har curly in the Texas heat.

I took the piece of hair. I got it wet with hairspray and then immediatly set it with hot curlers.

I never lost a curl untill a washed my hair after the show.

Maybe you can speak to the hairdresser and tell them about your situation. See if THEY have techniques for 'keeping' the curl.

The other thing I do (I learned this from my sorority sisters from Jersey!) Was after your hair is done, spray the crap out of it. IMMEDIATLY have a hair dryer with a diffuser and have the warm air set the curls in place. That works every time for me.

At the salon, it might mean spraying the crap out of it and sitting under a hair dryer for a few min.

Just some thoughts for you.
