ok, so I regularly dye my hair at home now. with wedding expenses I had to stop going to the salon to get it done. I have very dark brown hair and I dye it the same color. I normally do a pretty clean job, but I don't know what's wrong with me tonight.....it's everywhere.
I managed to wipe a lot of off of the skin around my face and at the nape of my neck and behind my ears, but not all of it came off, and now, no matter how hard I scrub, it won't come off my skin. I haven't gone into the shower yet to rinse it out of my hair....i have about 15 more minutes.
But do any of you have any tips to get it off my skin if it doesnt' come off in the shower?!?!?! I can't have brown/black splotches on my face and neck.

Re: Hair Dye Emergency!!!!
you ladies are the best, I knew SOMEONE on here would be able to help me!!
I tried some vaseline cause it's the only thing I have right here, it seems to be working a bit, but now, how do I get vaseline off my skin?? I know that may be a dumb question, but it's barely coming off my fingers. God, I'm SUCH a mess tonight I swear. I just need to go to bed I think.

Re: Hair Dye Emergency!!!!
actually...the best thing for this is cigarette ashes...dont ask me why...but it works great. If you're not a smoker, let it stay overnight and the oils from your skin will lift it....when you take a shower in the morning it should be gone...use a face scrub. This just happened to me wednesday night.....sometime i use astrigent too

Re: Hair Dye Emergency!!!!
Thanks so much everyone. I took a shower to rinse the dye out as usual and most of it is gone. There is still some around my hairline. I don't have any cocoa butter but the vaseline seemed to work a little the before I showered.....i think it loosened it up or something.
And vaseline will def. make me break out if I leave it on my skin overnight......so, do you think cold cream would work? I have a non-comedogenic Ponds that I use for my mascara.....
I guess it's worth a shot.

Re: Hair Dye Emergency!!!!
I've seen the hair stylist at my salon use oil - baby oil. Leave it on your skin for 5 mins and then wipe with a tissue. This works for me!!!
