I have shoulder length hair and was wondering if any of you got hair extensions or are thinking about getting them for ur wedding and was it very expensive?? Do you know any hair salons then do extensions with a reasonable budget?

Re: hair extensions
I don't know about extensions, but some hair stylist work with hair pieces.
My sister in law used one, it was gorgeous and no one could tell. Beautiful curls.

Re: hair extensions
I am getting a hair piece. My hairdresser said that my hair might not be long enough to do what I want, so she had me buy a piece.

I'm buying a hair piece also. I want my hairstyle to be fuller, since my hair is very thin and I don't have that much of it

Re: hair extensions
I am getting extensions put in. They last about 5 months. The price varies depending on whether you get a full head or half. I am going to the consultation on Saturday.
A great website is www.greatlengths.com
Good Luck

mlp924 I was thinking of the extentions too but was told that they are $300-500 and so I decided against it - plus I hear they are a lot of work to maintain

Re: hair extensions
Christine...the consultant told me that they can be washed, dyed, permed, etc.... like regular hair. You can swim in saltwater, wear your hair in a ponytail or an updo. I am just concerned that I won't be too adept at blowdrying such long hair. My hair is naturally curly/frizzy and doesn't get much further than shoulder length.
I guess I'll just have to see what the consultant says on Saturday when she sees my hair.

Re: hair extensions
I know someone with extensions. They look awesome, but are very pricey. I know she paid like $750 for them and it goes up from there. I can get you the name of the woman who did them for her if you want. She is in Manhasset.
