You can get clip in ones(real hair)....to make your hair fuller. Put them in and take them out whenever you want- for 4 pieces it's about 80-100 dollars.

Hope that helps.

Re: hair extensions

I had extensions last year...I only wanted it for NYE but kept them in for 3 weeks. The girl who did my extensions actually did it pretty fast, took her about two hours maybe a little bit less. The cost depends on a couple of things...Depends on what type of extensions you get, you can get it by strands, or whole wedges, which is one long piece of hair that goes straight across and you would need about 4-5 of them and they sew it in...First they braid parts of your hair tightly and then sew it into that, this is what i had done since I only wanted it for a short period of time. If you get it by strand even then theres different ways, some use these little bead things forgot what they're called, others use this protein type glue that even helps your hair and others use a different type of glue. Also depends on what type of hair you buy.

You can buy fake hair, but dont think it would look too great. And then when you buy real hair the price ranges greatly. Obviously virgin hair is very expensive and most people dont get it. You can actually buy real hair for a good price.

If you get it by strand, individual pieces it is more expensive, and many places charge about 800 and up, maybe you can find it for about 600...But most places charged 900 minimum.

I paid alot less than that since I got the wedges, i wasn't going to spend $1000 for one night. BUT depending on how you want to wear your hair for your wedding, you might HAVE to get individual pieces...If you wear it up a certain way then you might see some of the wedg. If you want more info FM me.

Re: hair extensions

I have someone that does extensions but they are semi-permanent. They last 4-6 months. Real human hair and look awesome. It's the kind that the celebs use. Here is the website..she is a contractor for them.

Her cost ranges from $600-$1600 depending on how many bundles and how many inches you want. She does it out of her home for that price but she also work at Frederick Fekkai on 5th Ave (her price is 2K - 5k) in the salon...OUCH!

Oh wait who do you use, I know a few people at frederik fekkai. She probably also uses the protein based thing or at least offers it, its supposed to be real good. Yeah for the wedding I have to get extensions, I have baby fine hair and no matter how long it is it will look so limp...And for the wedding, i have to get individual pieces. I might FM you to find out more info about this. My hairdresser does mostly color, you know in the city most of the big salons, you have the colorist who does just that and then hair cutters...She does both but good with color, so i might need someone for extensions.

i too have very fine hair and i use clip on extensions all the time....i love them. for a wedding in which you will need them styled you should order real hair (you can't apply heat to synthetic hair). the other thing to consider is ordering the right color so give yourself a LOT of time. maybe its easy to order from a store, but i've never done that.

another option is coil hair extensions, which i plan on having put in somtime this year but i can't attest to how good they are since i have not yet used them. check out this website: www.killforthishair.com

Re: hair extensions

My sister works for cactus salon in ronkonkoma. I was just her model for the Hairdreams hair extensions. The bonds are the protien ones. I was a model so it was the first time she did it. So they werent perfect. Point is I has them put in @ the beginning of Nov. And just took them out about a week ago. And my hair is in perfect condition. And the hair is fantastic. People wwho havnt seen me in a while thought it was my real hair. Shes done them a bunch of times since and shes pretty much perfected the technique. But with a full head of hair and the labor I really cant say exactly but I think its around 1,800- 2,000 tops for a full head. Then you can get them put in for other reasons.IF ur hair is thin but have length she can do a thickening technique. Which needs less hair and takes less time and costs less. Done let certian stylists tell you, you can only do it one way, theres plenty of way to get them at an afforbable price. AND MAKE SURE THEY CUT THEM...... Cause if they dont they will look really fake. The reason mine looked sooooo real cause my sister llaered them and cut them. HTH

P.S- The protien ones are the way to go they DONT BREAK THE HAIR AT ALL.... HTH

Her name is Jessica. She uses the super safe keratin bonds. They look like that tiny piece of plastic that you have at the end of your shoelaces.
Feel free to FM me for info. She cuts and does color but extensions are her specialty. She only does extensions at Fekkai. I don't get extensions all the time. A few times in the past 4 years but she is fantastic and I've referred a ton of girls to her. I use someone else for my cuts and colors.
FM me any time for more info

Re: hair extensions

Jessica Simpson and her hair stylist game out with a full line of hair extensions sold through HSN. Different colors, lengths and styles and they were clip ins. However, I don't think they were real hair, but it's the same stuff she uses on herself. They were about $100. I had ordered it and brown was on back order for a while so they just refunded my CC. I'm hoping to find a store that sells them instead of going through HSN online.
