Totally depends on what type of extensions. if you get the type that are sewn in than NO they do not damage your hair. You can have someone take them out at any time. You don't have to wait for them to grow out

Clip in extensions won't damage your hair. The ones that are glued or bonded to your hair could damage it though, but I think the ones that you are planning on getting are the clip in ones.
