Is anyone doing hair extensions for their wedding? If so, what brand are you buying and how can you tell it's real human hair.

I am! My hair stylist (Angela) recommended I go to Sally Beauty and check out the Euronext brand. That is what she uses and highly recommends. When you go to Sally you can touch them, take them out of the boxes and see what they feel like and look like and you can just tell they are human hair. I liked the Euronext and probably would have went with them but a friend of mine had ordered hers online and for a little more money hers where so much thicker and longer. I was nervous about ordering online but you work closely with a color matching expert and send tons of pictures and once they send your set if it still doesn't match your color you send it back and they try again. The company is Hello Gorgeous Hair Extensions. They are pricey but I am obsessed and so happy with my decision. Also they are custom made so they do take a while once you put in your order. I think my set took about 7-8 weeks. I highly reccommend them.

I bought mine from Popcorn in Central Islip (Wheeler Road). The place isn't the nicest but there was a huge selection. They had brands that specifically tell you if it is human hair. You can ask the workers for those brands. They already had clips attached which I've hear not all places sell them that way.

Yup, I bought Euronext brand from Sally's! That's what my hairstylist suggested to get. I used them for my hair trial & they were great!

Thanks for the replies! Another question...my hair is naturally straight but I want my hair to be curled for the wedding. Do you think I should buy pre-curled hair or straight?

I bought straight and my hair stylist curled it at my trial.

My sister is a hairstylist and works for cactus. She says that the euronext is a good reliable brand. She also said if your hair is straight you should buy straight, if the curls start to drop then it will all drop evenly. If you have precurled extentions then your hair will drop and the extensions wont and it will end up looking weird.

Ah, Very good point. I didn't even think about this. My hair is def going to straighten out throughout the day.

My hair is pin straight, I bought straight extensions and my hair dresser curled them as if they were part of my real hair.

Angela is my hair stylist for the day of and she said to try Sally's to get my extensions. I've looked online but all they show are three different styles and they are blonde. Has everyone ordered online or actually went to the store to purchase? I was looking at Luxy Hair and they are a little more expensive than Sally's. If I could get them at Sally's for less I rather do that.

Some of the hair I saw were super long. Do they come in different lengths or are you having yours cut?

I have very long hair, but my hair dresser said that she could cut the extensions if my MOH or Mother wanted to use extensions for fullness as well, but have shorter hair. So that shouldn't be a problem!

Extensions come in different lengths...my stylist bought mine for me, and they can be died, straightened, curled, washed, cut, you name it. I have long, thick hair but i'm using them to get extra length because when it curls, it gets much shorter and tends to 'fro' lol.

My sister will be buying mine and dying them to match the shade of red my hair is.
