hair extensions AND fake eyelashes??

hair extensions AND fake eyelashes??

ok help. im a very simple girl, dont wear makeup on a daily basis, i'm lucky if my socks match each other every day, i had my hair and makeup trials. My hairdresser is suggesting extensions (like an attachment to my head) to give me fuller hair for the pictures (my natural hair is past my shoulders but with a curl in them its shoulder length) and the makeup artist says fake eyelashes are better for the pictures because eyelashes get lost and dont stand out.
HELP!! I feel like i'll be so fake!!!! Not to say they look bad or anything they look ok in the pictures, its just that i dont think i'll look like myself!
Thoughts?

I don't wear makeup either. FH says when he lifts up my blusher and see's me all dolled up with extensions, makeup and fake eyelashes he's gonna tell the Pastor he married the wrong girl. Don't worry about it . With the makeup just try to go for a natural look. I'm sure you'll look beautiful.

Just be firm with the make up & hair people. They assume all girls want that stuff but not everyone does so you're not crazy. I fell like I'll be uncomfortable with a lot of fake stuff. Some people love it so it's nice they have the option.

Just make sure you are comfortable...no harm in trying right? I was against fake eyelashes as well, but once I had my trial and she put them on, you really couldn't tell- they weren't like a drag queen's or anything.

As for the hair piece, I am also looking into that. I think a lot of brides do that just to add some more hair- again if they want that look. I am a big try-er for everything- no harm done.

Good luck!

try both first at trials and see if you feel comfy and if you still feel like you. im doing both (clip ins) and a little bit of fake lashes. neither feels like too much for me.

you probably don't need the hair extensions unless you feel like you need more hair. but def try to go with fake eyelashes. it makes a big difference in pictures. that's why every single modeling ad the girls have them on, even if they look real. you should get the single lashes, where she can put like three on at a time instead of a long strip. it's more natural and less annoying on your eye.

If its not you definately don't do it. You don't want to feel uncomforable in how you look all night...plus worse...unrecognizable...your FH fell in love with you the way you are, you don't want him to be like omg what happened to the girl I married?

Re: hair extensions AND fake eyelashes??

hey just wanted to reply to this post cause im on the opposite end of the spectrum..
i REALLY love make up and girly girly hair things, so i was very excited to get alil crazy for my wedding day, and so to me when they were using fake eyelashed, and when my hair dresser told me where to go to buy my hair piece, i was thrilled...anyway point is..if you look at my pics, u can se my hair looked very natural (it just made it thicker and easier to work with, my hair is on the thinner side) and my eyes stood out alot..
anyway, it is definately a personal choice, but i will say, that in pictures the eyelashes look really nice, the extensions (or hair piece) unless you have problematic hair, isnt THAT necessary for some girls..but it was for me

The thing about extensions and eyelashes is that if they are done well, they look REAL! I got lashes and I loved them. They look so pretty! Try it out first, if you don't like it, don't do it...

I suggest at least trying it for the trial, if you dont like it or feel comfortable then dont do it for the day of. Ive had extensions before, and it does help for fullness, if you look at my e-party pics in my album i had extensions in the back to give it fullness, nobody even knew until i told them, the extensions were cut to my hair length. Ive also had very long extensions before too...Also i didnt think i would wear fake lashes bc i have long lashes but again they did it for fullness and again you can look at my e-party pics to see. Its not something that will drastically change you and make people think oh wow she is fake.

There is no harm in trying, and this way you can say you know from experience whether or not you'll like it instead of just thinking what you will like.

You do what you feel comfortable in.
Try one trial with and one trial without so you can make a good comparison.

thank you all for the advice; im still on the fence about the whole thing. i did my trials with both; on and off. For me, it looks too fake. I know the lashes help in the photos but a friend of mine said she wore them once and was so uncomfortable the whole time. i cant even imagine being that way during my wedding! not to mention HOT in june with that hair on my neck.

I wore fake lashes and they were weird at first butI got used to them. My lashes are practically invisible and rather short. They did make a difference in the pictures butI did not look like a painted lady.

As for hair extensions, I refused them. My hair was short and I never liked the idea of glueing or weaving for myself. However, I have seen some great ones and they look wonderful if they are done properly - especially to create the illusion for an updo or to add body to thin hair.
