Hair extensions HELP

HELP!!!!

Ok, so you guys are probably gonna think i'm nuts because i'm probably the cheapest person around I've probably said it one too many times.

Where can I get em and how much?

My hair person mentioned doing them but I don't think she has access. She said I needed real and not synthetic hair and that i could just go to the mall to buy em. The only place I saw in the mall only has synthetic.

My mother LOVED the idea of doing the extentions since my hair is on the short side and she even agreed to pay for it!!! I love my mommy though i feel really guilty making her spend the money!!!

Someone mentioned Jen does them for $80. I know I should probably just give her a call but it might be too late. I don't have her info.

Anyone know what I would have to do? Would I need to do them a few days before the wedding?

i know of a few places in the city that has extensions BUT did your hair stylist tell you what kind of extensions? is it the clip ons, the tracks that she will sew on or individual strands that are bonded? ask her which she will prefer and honestly she SHOULD know a place near you where you can get the hair and no not the mall bc those are fake. Beauty supply stores also have them alot of times, search online for a place near you. I bought it before but in queens, other times my hair dresser bought it, and when i went for the trial she also had it.

I went for a consultation with my moms person a few weeks ago and decided to use her but didn't really plan on doing an actual trial until Jan. I know some people don't think its a good idea to wait so long but I wanted to see how my hair was before making a decision.

I might have to call her back and ask since i'm not really sure. It was mentioned but we really didn't talk at length about it since I wasn't sure I wanted to do it at all. All she had mentioned was the mall.

I'd rather avoid the city living so far east.

Since I already have a hair person i'd rather do it a couple of days before. Plus, doesn't she charge more to come to the island?

Is that bad? Do you know if they'll stay in?

if its clip ons then honestly dont get it a few days before your wedding, it wont stay in well plus youre gonna want to wash your hair within those few days. How about buying them from jen and just having your hair dresser putting them in the day of

Thanks again I know NOTHING about extensions.

I sent her an email so i'll make sure to ask her that when I hear from her (hopefully soon). That might be the best idea.

Grr I just got an email back saying she has a trial shortly for somone interested in my date. I'm not sure where I can go.

I sent her an email back asking if she could at least point me in the right direction of where to get them.

i want hair extensions too but i wanted to get the kind that stay in for a while!!! but my hair dress said it would cost 1000!

IF YOU get the ones they bond into your hair then yeah thats average price for them, however if you want to pay less and keep it in your hair a little longer, get the tracks that are sewn into your hair

Try wig shops, i passed a place on 110/broadway in amityville the other day that i was going to check out. i havnt looked into it yet though

maybe u can buy them and have your girl put them in that am?

I was quoted $180 from khoulouds but im only getting them if i reaally need them.

i would get them beforehand. i dont know too much about them either but i think you clip them in the day u do your hair. they may have to dye them to your hair color.

yeah about 2 weeks before my wedding i have to go to claudia so she can get my exact hair color and match the extensions to my hair so for the day of theyll be ready

AWESOME! I'm totally clueless with this (as you can tell). I don't know why but I wasn't really sure.....basically it means that if I find them, i'd be able to do the trial and see what it looks like first.
