Hair, Hair, Hair...what to do?

I went for a hair trial about 6 weeks ago and liked what the stylist did and I booked her, now I am going back for a second trial, but I want to try something new...I am looking for pics but haven't found any...so here is the description in case anyone has any pics to post!

I have straight hair to about 4 inches below my shoulders and I want to part my hair on the side and pull it back in a low updo...without a lot of curls. I also want to wear a flower in my hair in the updo, one large one or two medium sized ones. And finally, I do not want it to be a tight, hairsprayed look, something softer.
