I am RIGHT there with you! I hate my hair all up bc I too have a round face and it was just awful. Then I tried three different ways and I wanted to give up. Half up was the only way I thought would make it look less round...I went to Hairsay in New Hyde Park and they did half up half down but not starting behind the ears (IDK if that makes any sence) kinda like a pouf but they started taking hair back from my temple area. She curled the whole back and left a very soft curl in the front (but not annoying front like tis going to be hitting me in the face if its windy) ill post pics of it bc i just read this and it made no sence to me LOL hope you kind of got it...I will have pics by the end of the week hopefully!
I have a very round face as well which is why i decided to wear my hair up. However, in my experience, if you make your hair high (like a puff....but not really) it elongates your face and makes appear more oval looking. Try some styles that give you some height and texture from the front view. Do you have pictures of your trials?
