I can't find someone to do a half up half down style that doesn't do crunchy curls that fall out in 4 hours. I have long hair and I look like a hot mess after a few hours.

Most hair people do that on purpose because if you start off with loose curls, they will look terrible by the end of the night- So, they make them super tight so that by the time the ceremony and reception starts, they fall a bit and look nice- I have long hair too, but it's naturally wavy so curls hold up pretty well. I found that the hair people tend to make the curls tighter than what I want at first, but they fall nicely after an hour or two
