Hair & Makeup Before or After

Hair & Makeup Before or After

I have a question for everyone. Are you getting your hair and makeup done after you are in your dress or before?

Turns out it will take more than one person to get me into my dress and because I am wearing a slip under my gown I will have to put my dress on over my head (instead of stepping into it). I am worried my hair and makeup will get ruined while tunneling into my gown.

It makes the most sense to have my hair and makeup done before I get into my dress but I was wondering how many of you had this dilemma pop up. Does anyone have (or had) a plan about the right way to get into your dress without messing up your hair and makeup?

I have a pic of my dress in my album to give you all a visual.

Thanks!

I would 100% NOT put on my dress before I have my hair and makeup done.

1. It will take at least an hour (but probably longer) to do your hair and makeup. Do you really want to be sitting in your dress for that long? Wrinkles, for one.

2. Even though they'd surely put something over your dress to do your makeup, there's still a chance it could accidentally get dirty -

3. It might not be as hard as you think to put your dress on after your hair is done.

HTH.

NO NO NO you have to get all that done before you put your dress on. Something may fall on it and totally ruin it. You will have people helping you get into your dress. You wont have a problem, I would just ask the hair and makeup people to stay until you get it on so that they can touch up.

I'm also wearing an Eve dress and I had a full slip sewn into the dress so I could just step into it. You can ask your seamstress to do that for you. Even before it was sewn in I never had to put it on over my head. They always put the slip underneath the dress and lined up the opening of hte dress with the opening of the slip and then I would just step into the dress. There's no need to put it on over your head.

This is actually an idea I am going to try. Thanks!
