I would like to make some trial appointments but i have no clue what normal prices are and dont want to waste my time, I would like for someone to do it all, from searching a bit I see that alot of people are using Jaquelin Nicole or Fairtale makeovers, anyone know the prices for them or any other good suggestions.

My makeup trial was free at the chanel counter at Macys. That is who I used.
I also had a trial before that which I didnt like and I think that was somewhere around 50 dollars.

JN gives you a free makeup trial, $25 if you want a trial with airbrushing, because the airbrush makeup is expensive. JN applies this $25 to the day of. Go to JN's site and get the prices. www.prettyme.com It's been a while since I booked JN so I forget.
Jen from Fairytale does a hair trial for $25 which is applied to the cost the day of. I have an appt for a trial next Monday. Hair the day of costs $100 (minus the $25).

Does JN do hair also?? If not, how does it work? JN comes to your home to do the makeup and then do you have to get someone else to come to do your hair?? which goes first?? all of these things to think about!!

Some one else I beg of you to look at is Pauline: she does hair and make-up and I am so picky and she did a fabulous job on my make-up- I did not get the hair done.... She is in Rockville Center... Do a search for her!!! She doesn't even advertise on these boards and people know her!

Jacqueline Nicole does not charge extra travelling fees.
She gave me names of 3 people who do hair. I will most likely be calling them and going for trials. Not sure what goes first make-up or hair. Whoever you hire I'm sure would know! Good luck!

I used Bessie from Beautiful Girls for both hair & makeup. I loved what she did. I would definitely recommend her and her prices are very reasonable. Her # is 718-707-1089.

Jacqueline Nicole did my makeup and did a great job.It lasted all day too like she said it would.I just re-applied my lipstick once.

75$ seems fair.

Like I said before I booked with Calista Brides. The main Stylist, Cali will come to the hotel. She was also in Modern Bride magazine, that's what really brought my attention to her. Anyway, for my hair and makeup trial it will be $75 and $100 for the day of the wedding. It can be very expensive here to have anything done on your hair and for makeup I couldn't find someone that did both, and from what other girls have told me it's worth way more than she charges. But I guess if you're on a tight budget some may still find that high. I would do a search on the net if you still aren't sure of anyone. I will tell you this much, make sure you stay away from reps in disguise. These people claim that they specialize in wedding hair or makeup, but what they really want is to push their product. I had a makeup artist constantly emailing me and I finally called her to see what she was about, because she ranted about how she was the best at makeup, etc. Anyway, I soon found out that also sold Mary Kay and all she wanted was to sell me her makeup and then she said she would do my makeup free, but first I had to buy her stuff. It's not so much that I minded buying something, it was just so annoying because she really didn't care about my needs and what I wanted and I saw some pictures of what she had done and I died! they were awful. Everyone had orangey pink lips and greyish blue eyeshadow So be careful you don't jipped!!

I used JN as well. She is great. She did such a wonderful job, and like others have said, all I had to do was touch up the lipstick. They had me have to hair ddone first. JN preferred this so that you do not end up with loads of hairspray on the make-up.
