Hair & Makeup Suggestions & who should pay?!? HELP!

Hey,

So I'm trying to finally get all the big things done and I'm having trouble finding a good hair and makeup person that looks pretty and natural (not over the top, ya know). The one or two I liked online were SOO expensive. I have 6 bridesmaids + me and want to get ready at my family's home not a salon.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I was planning on paying for my girls hair and have them pay for makeup since I definitely cant afford both- is that okay to ask them to pay for makeup? I already got them earrings and cute monogrammed beach bags- I hope that's enough!

You're fine. If you can afford it...go for it. If not, don't worry. Most people I know usually buy the DOJ for BMs, plus you're paying for the RD...which is another show of appreciation. My friend bought us personal items, our DOJ and paid to have our hair done. We paid for our make-up. Your BMs will expect it...don't worry. If I hear of anyone...I'll FM you info. There is a salon in Bay Ride - Da Noi.. who has a really good MU artist...Eileen. Not sure if she does side work. I'll ask around.

I don't think you should have to pay for hair and make-up for all the girls, nor do I think they should HAVE to. I think they should have the option of doing their own hair and make-up. If they want to get it done professionally, then they should have the option, but I don't think that it should be expected. Its a huge expense for you, and it will be a huge expense for them, especially if they feel comfortable doing their own hair and make up. If they want it done, then its fine for them to pay for it.

I used Kacey and Zoraida from Kholouds and was happy with their work. They were reasonably priced.

I'm using Makeup By Marisa for Makeup (shes awesome) and not sure yet who im using for hair- but maybe you could HELP pay for their makeup? like go in half with them?? Just a thought. :)
