I am noticing a lot of girls are getting their hair/makeup trials done.. I have no idea how this works.. so you pay for the trials.. how early should I be getting this done...?

I had two make up trials so far, and one hair. I booked the first makeup person. There is a charge for trials - the costs vary amongst the vendors.
My trial with Maureen Pedala was free for makeup, but her charge for the day of is quite expensive.
I am still looking for hair people. I called 2 people and they are already booked. My friends make fun of me bc I am doing it so early!

i had the same feeling-everyone's getting their trials done! so i booked mine, hair with the hairgenie. i figure better too early than late. really that's the bottom line in wedding planning, seems there isn't much you can do to early!

I have not even thought of that.. I can't believe places are booked already for next Oct. I don't even have my bridesmaid dresses picked out yet..

i started my makeup trials before i had my bridesmaid dresses picked- it seems makeup books fast
hair doesn't seem so bad if you are a friday or saturday bride because the salons are opne - but if you are a sunday bride you might want to start thinking about it first
the one thing i have thoght about in the order i have planned - is if they can only do one wedding in a day like photography -some makeup people book in the beginnig - florist can do more than one in a day - so do a little later

Jacqueline Nicole does free trials for brides, and Oksana charges $35 if you go to her, or $55 if she comes to you, for a trial.

I have had 2 make up trials and I have one with Oksana in Nov. The first was free but I bought make up and the second was $35. It really varies.

That was rude!! wow.. But i have a genuine question. I was going to use Jennifer from fairytale makeovers (she did my hair when I was a MOH).. Her website is no longer registered.. Does anyone know of someone who does both hair and makeup or does anyone have her contact info??
