I received a qoute today from a hairdresser who was highly recommended to me by my photographer. She said she was $75 for the trial and the day of the wedding would START at $150 per hour!!! UM-is this rather high?? I almost fell off my chair while reading the email from her! Could you girlies recommend others please? Or is this a resonable price?!

those prices are exactly what I paid. I believe that's the going rate for having someone come to you.

In Feb of 2004, my sister used T. Carlton's Studio (Spalon) ...here were the prices (she gave me her receipt)...
Trial hair & makeup $90 (hair) $60 (makeup)
Location fee (at house) $200
Bride hair & makeup $150 (hair) $100 (makeup)
bridesmaids updos $120 each shorter hair updo $75 blowout $50
Everyones hair came out awesome!!

I think they're a little on the high side. Keep shopping it... you can do better
