hair piece coloring

i wanted to use a hairpiece for my wedding day so that my updo will have lots of volume...

my cousin offered me hers (dark brown) which is 100% human hair, this means i can dye it to match my hair color (dark blonde/light golden brown)....

does anyone know a place where i can take this to have it dyed? does just any salon do this?? the piece cost $600 and i am not ready to shell out that kind of cash for my own!!!!

what kind of piece is it?? a pony tail?? You can buy one for a hell of alot less than that at any beauty supply..

I have to agree with MB, I added pieces to my hair for a fuller look and it did not cost me more that $40...look around...girl you are in NY, where you can get anything

the synthetic ones are much cheaper...i got one for $65, but you can't do anything with them style-wise (no curling iron)....i checked online and real ones go from $300+

Oh HELL no.. I can give you 0923482039842 dif places where it'll be dirt cheap girl.. where in LI are you??? You need to go to a Beauty Hair Supply.. there is a good one by my mother's house and the Jamaican guy has every length, color, texture you can imagine!!

MB, see when people don't know they can get cheated. Ladies listen up, there is hair out there HUMAN HAIR, I used HUMAN HAIR and it was curled and washed and styled, when the competition is one store you get what you see. I am in Bklyn and I get HH all the time real cheap and it is good hair.

I MUST agree with Shamma and MB!!! There are shps all over LI that have HUMAN HAIR for MUCH less. There are some in Uniondale, Hempstead, Westbury and I think Hicksville. Definietly shop around.

Where in QUeens are you?? There's a place on Linden Blvd. in Elmont, also on Dutch Broadway in Elmont, There's a beauty supply on Rockaway Avenue in Lawrence, one on Hempstead Turnpike, across from Nagasaki..

my stylist was able to completely cover my hair piece with my own hair so the color didn't matter (it was a mousy brown ratty piece - on loan from the salon). It added volume to the hairdo but wasn't visible.

Perhaps you can do something similiar, depending on your hairstyle.

I warned my husband when he was taking my hair down to look out for the rat!

I buy frim wigwam in westbury on old country road but I dont think they are that cheap, I have seen better prices at tri county.
I am doing a synthetic pontytail on my day too
