Hair question...

Hair question...

If I decided to book seperately for the hair and makeup, who are you using for hair? I'm going to have a trial with Pauline for both, Jacqueline Nicole for makeup, and I need someone else for hair? She gave me the names of a couple people, but I want to make a few phone calls. Who would you recommend? Thanks again.

I can not say enough good things about the job Kristen from Enchante did for our wedding in September. While we used her for hair and makeup, you could certainly book her for hair alone.

Just a word of advise if Jacqueline gave you Gina Simone as a hair reference I would say DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I went for hair and makeup and felt it was a total complete waste of $125. I know someone else who went and felt the exact same way. So far I've had two trials with people that come to the house and I didn't like either. The only place that did a good job for me was Helen Chiasson, Inc. salon in Whitestone, unfortunately she doesn't come to the house . But at this point I've had such bad experiences that I am willing to go to the salon on my wedding day. My friend who's also getting married feels the same way. Hope I didn't bum you out too much.

I used Dirosa hair salon in Franklin Square for my hair,. did my own makeup but they do that there too... if you can go to a salon on the day, its a great place... Rosa did my hair, never disapointed...its 50.oo for the bride and 35.00 for the BM's updos...Make up i believe used to be 35.00 but i could be mistaken on that since i hvent done it there in a while....i personally enjoyed getting out of the house to get it done...i think it relaxed me not to be there with my whole family running around the house getting ready...just a thought though.. good luck..im sure youll look beautiful wherever you go!!
