Hair salon in Suffolk

I am a BM In a wedding in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone could recommend a place that does hair and make-up. Also, the name of the stylist would be great too! I am looking in either Huntington, Dix Hills, Commack, Smithtown areas.

I go to Salon Jaleese in Smithtown on Terry Rd. They are all great there. Janice, Danielle, and Jenn do a great job. Danielle did my hair for my wedding and Jenn did my makeup.

Danielle from Salon Jalese also did my hair for my wedding. She was wonderful and now I'm going to her regulary for cuts/hilights.

I've heard good things about Bocu in Commack. I no longer live in the area but my mom said she liked it so I think that's probably where I'll go.

Alison,

MY friend whose wedding party I am in is going to Bocu to get her hair and and make-up done with three other BMs. I am going with the other three and one of them does not want to go to Bocu.

Another vote for Salon Jalese. Jen did my hair for my wedding. She did such a great job and she is so sweet. You will not be disappointed.

Kristen from Enchante Salon is doing my hair for the wedding. It's on Rt. 25 in Smithtown by where the flea market used to be.

I went to Bocu. They are OK, but JMO they are very obnioxous. (sp?) Its very busy there and for the prices they don't treat you the way you should, just in and out and they let you stand on line to pay forever. They just don't care. I went there twice and then found Novelle salon in Babylon. Same price, possibly a little less, and they offer you drinks, magazines, tea the usual things a nice salon should do for you. In Bocu I didn't even see a water cooler or anything. JMO. Plus, I don't like the people who go there, also very rude and theres something to be said about women my Mom's age and their 16 year old daughters getting the same style and wearing the same clothes. Cactus salons are all around that area and they are pretty good.

Yikes...they didn't seem that bad when I stopped by over the holidays!

Jodi, when are you going? Can you give me a report? I live out of town so I can't really test out too many places.

Getting nervous now...
