Hair Straighteners

Happy snow day ladies!

So I got a CHI straightener for x-mas from my mom (she didn't want to buy Amika). Well anyway, the CHI does not turn on so I need to return it. Thinking of getting the Amika but wanted to know if there were any other good straighteners out there that can also curl hair.

I use Solia, it works great, gets up to like 450 degrees which is the hottest I've seen and is under $100. It also curls my hair.

But I actually just so a commercial for a straightener that has a hot plate on the outside to curl your hair better...Like This

if ur mom doesn't have the receipt, they sell the chi at bed bath and beyond. you can say you bought it there cash and just tell them you want to get a different kind b/c you're mad it doesn't work.

She got it at BBB but I see it on folica.com for less so I might by it on there or get the solia.

I know, it won't turn on lol! I might just buy another one. Have you ever used it to curl your hair?

i got my new chi this christmas too! I love it! it curls hair okay, i still use a curling iron to get it to stay better.

this is my 3rd chi, my first one i had to return because it would not turn on!

mines hot pink!!!!!

I love Chi- I use to use hot tools but chi is so much better. I have used it to curl my hair. Worked good

Thanks! I'm going to go to the store tomorrow (if the roads are clear) and test out the amika before I decide to repurchase the CHI.

For girls on a budget, I got a remington straightener over the summer that goes up to 420 degrees.. (you can set it to whichever temp you want) and it's the BEST straightener I've ever had. It was like $30 at the most. Better than any of the really expensive one's I've had!
