I have no idea what to do with my hair, and could use some suggestions for simple dos. I won't have time to get it done the day of, sadly. I am horrible at fixing my hair, and my close female relations/friends aren't much better. I'm not planning to wear a veil, but can't decide what sort of hair adornment would work best for my type hair and dress.
Does anyone know of a good hairdresser in the Great Neck area who might be able to show me some simple styles I can attempt to replicate?
Thanks!

What type of hair do you have and what type of dress? What look are you going for?

Re: Hair Suggestions
Thank you for the site recommendation. I'll definitely check it out.
My dress is simple, but elegant I think. A simple updo would be best if I can do it. My hair is thin, slightly wavy, but not overly. It's in a medium length bob with some lairs now.
Now I'm wishing I put more time into my hair in the past!
Thanks again!

Re: Hair Suggestions
I completely understand what you are going through. I'm having the same exact dilemma and am not sure what styles to look for either...here's some I have on my computer...
what about a verly sleek bun with maybe a flower at the base. Easy to do, but elegant.

Re: Hair Suggestions
They sell certain veils attached to a headband and all you have to do is insert the headband. That's what I did when we were married and i thought it looked quite nice and was so easy.

Cion & Co. corner of Great Neck Road & Middle Neck Road. Ask for Jackie...she's the wedding/updo queen in there. Tell her Joann sent you....

I'll be there in the morning for a styling myself...have a wedding to attend.
Good luck!

Re: Hair Suggestions
Simple but easy- put your hair in a ponytail and then wind the ponytail around itself and secure with pins for a simple bun. Its really easy- you could also do a french twist. Just secure your hair with pins to the side and twist it in a side circle. I hope that makes sense. I am horrible with hair but I did my own for my brother's wedding the second way and it came out great! Good luck and practice!
