Hair trial $125 - and I don't love it. Need Advice
Original post by EMES2006
Hi Girls, So I had my hair trial last night and two hours and $125 later, I don't love it. I couldn't really tell in the salon, but once I got outside, my hair looked really dry and stiff, not soft and shiny. And pieces started to fall out in the car ride home. And it didn't photograph well either. Attached are a few pics. Even my mom wasn't impressed.
This is my regular salon and I've been going there for years. I'd go back for another trial, but at $125, it's just too much money. I don't even know how much it's going to cost the day of.
Anyone else have this problem? Did their salon make them pay AGAIN for another trial if they didnt like the first one?

Hair Update: I called the salon and she said that since I have very soft hai it is difficult to work with. They want to put more 'product' in my hair so they can do more with it.
If I want to go back and have it re-done, I have to pay another $125. I can have them do an up-do for $80, but that wouldn't include the hair piece or veil.
If I go for another trial, I might just go for a different look altogether!
I thought the $125 included the products needed to do the trial... and since they do your hair all the time this shouldn't be news to them. It's almost like they're asking for another $80 for gel and hairspray. They should have offered you a redo for free.
Forget that - if you give me $125 I'll glue your hair down and get you a wig in any style you like!
Seriously I would try a different hair person altogether.

OMG!!! $125!!!?? That must be a joke!! My hair lady is doing my trial for free! I like the back of your trial, but I agree, the front looks flat and I don't like the peice haning in your face. I think that'll get annoying throughout the day. My stylist calls the flat look 'the floating head'...it makes people look like they have no definition to thier head. I think that maybe you could try some height and it would look better.

Holy crappoli! $125???!!!!!! I love the hair style but no way in the world would I pay $125 for a trial! How much do they charge for the day of?????
By the way-shop around...meet with Jen (Hair Genie)...
Yes, go see Jen - trial is only $50... and she did a great job...
Jen's website says she needs a minimum of 3 updo's in order to book. I only have me and my sister, no other bridemaids. I'll send her FM though. Thanks!

I WOULD NEVER EVER PAY THAT MUCH FOR A TRIAL I AM THINKING I WOULD GO BACK AND TELL THEM WHEN YOU GOT HOME YOU REALLY WERE NOT HAPPY AND EXPLAIN MAYBE THEY WILL GIVE YOU ANOTHER FOR FREE
