Hair trial $125 - and I don't love it. Need Advice
Hi Girls, So I had my hair trial last night and two hours and $125 later, I don't love it. I couldn't really tell in the salon, but once I got outside, my hair looked really dry and stiff, not soft and shiny. And pieces started to fall out in the car ride home. And it didn't photograph well either. Attached are a few pics. Even my mom wasn't impressed.
This is my regular salon and I've been going there for years. I'd go back for another trial, but at $125, it's just too much money. I don't even know how much it's going to cost the day of.
Anyone else have this problem? Did their salon make them pay AGAIN for another trial if they didnt like the first one?

$125 for the HAIR TRIAL! did any of that go toward the day-of cost! I feel that is VERY pricey! especially if your hair did not even stay in place. some stylists are good at cuts and such, but updo's and bridal hair are a different animal altogether.
the person that did my hair does not live here, but there are plenty to hair stylists on the boards that are less expensive and really really good.

Wow, $125 is a lot for a trial but I have to tell you - I really like your hair! I think it looks very elegant and doesn't look hard and stiff at all.

I would check out another vendor. They didnt do anything 'special' to your hair. I wouldnt even bother making another appt. If you were that unhappy and you couldnt tell them that you felt bad, then what are you gonna do the day of your wedding if you dont like your hair and you feel bad telling them? Go with someone you are more comfortable with.

you can tell that it looks loose and unstable...the top it tilting out away from your head. it is a lovely style for you, and when done securely and correctly, it will be perfect!

Thanks girls. I knew the trial would be a lot, but I was hoping it would be one of those 'you get what you pay for' kind of things.
I went through this whole process of sitting under the dryer with curlers in and everything, only to have it straight.
I def. need to speak to the stylist again and see what she says. I'm going back in 4 weeks for a cut and color, so maybe she can do something then. But the wedding is 5 weeks away and I'm running out of time!

I noticed that too. Thank God my mom showed up and was able to take pictures for me. I couldn't see it in the salon, but in the pics it's def. noticable.

Here ya go! I feel it's a bit too flat on top and I need to do something with the piece hanging in front. Looks like a piece of cheese hanging there! LOL

ur a beautiful lady, and from the fron it it looks nice, and the back is nice but not stable..it just needs to 'all be brought together..' maybe make it higher up so u see it from the front more...and definitly go to a place that will make it more enforced and will last ur entire wedding day--im sorry u paid 125 bucks, cause its gorgeous but not perfect enuff for wedding day hair--maybe u can call and tell them... honestly i kno u go there and u dont wanna be mean but its ur money and ur hair--and u deserve exactly what you want

Did they highlight, color, cut and dip it in gold for $125 hair trial or did they just style it....
I wouldn't bother with second trial there, especially at that price - there are so many other options of people to use, I would suggest checking out some of them...
I don't think it does a thing for you... you're much prettier than that hair style...

It looks like a simple bun style. For $125 I would expect a full curly updo with extensions!!!!!!!!!

Too Funny!!
Nope, they just styled it. I have to go back in 4 weeks for a cut and color and pay just as much!

Hair Update: I called the salon and she said that since I have very soft hai it is difficult to work with. They want to put more 'product' in my hair so they can do more with it.
If I want to go back and have it re-done, I have to pay another $125. I can have them do an up-do for $80, but that wouldn't include the hair piece or veil.
If I go for another trial, I might just go for a different look altogether!
