I am getting my trial tomorrow and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to wash my hair. I always heard that an updo works better with somewhat dirty hair. What should I do?

I just went for a hair trial last week and I had not washed my hair that morning.
I asked what I should do the day of the wedding and she said to just do what I was comfortable doing - that she will be putting so much stuff in my hair it won't matter.

I emailed my person cause I have my trial on saturday. She told me that I could do wash it, just not to condition it
