Hair Trial - Can FH Come?

If FH comes with me to my hair and makeup trial is that bad? I don't know if it's like him seeing me in my wedding gown!!

It really depends on how you feel about it... I think just by asking this question, it seems like you wouldnt mind much about 'tradition' and would rather have him there as a valued opinion. As for me, I've already shown FH a pic of my gown, so for him to come to a trial with me would be no biggie in my book, but others may disagree...

Why not? DH didn't come with me cause he would have been bored, but I did go straight home afterwards in full makeup and hair and showed him the pics my lady did of all the other styles to see what his thoughts/preferences were. Then again, we're not crazy about those 'not seeing things' old school rules. We live together so everything wedding atire related was in our apt in full view, except my dress because I was afraid our cat would rip it, but I did show him a picture of it on the model.

Long story short, it's totally up to you.

why not? if you want him there, then bring him! FH was there for both of my makeup trials so i got his opinion and it was really helpful!

Thats up to you!! I don't see it being too big a deal... your going to go home and see him anyway... at least he can give you his opinion...

i would let him come. i got my make up done for my engagement party and FH didnt really like it, he said i didnt look like myself so i told him that i def want him to see my make up trial because i want to make sure i still look like me in his eyes. i dont want him to feel like he is marrying a stranger lol.

IMHO No I dont think he should be there. Its part of how you will look at your wedding. I want my FH to be completely surprised so that I can take his breath away! --I know, cheesy right? LOL

i AGREE. I did not want him knowing what I would look like. LOL. And the day of our wedding i did take his breath away.

I don't think the hair is that essential. My FH already knows how I wanna get it done anyway, so I wouldn't mind if he came with me.

I haven't shown him my dress at all, although he does know my style and taste so he pretty much already has it figured out. But I did show him my veil. Just little sneak peak. lol.

It's not that big a deal

my FH comes with me for everything - but thats mainly b/c we live in SI and all my hair and make up trials have been in LI or NYC - i dont like driving that far by myself when i dont know where i am going, so he drives and we make a day out of it....for example, i did a make up trial, ordered my headpiece and we picked out our wedding bands all in one day

Thanks girls. I think probably my FH won't come with me to the trial but he's going to see me all done up right after because we'll be heading to my friend's wedding together. It just seems like a waste to pay $150 to get my hair/makeup done and then wash it all off to keep up the surprise.

Besides wanting it be a surprise...I was there for like 3 hours. (hair & makeup) I don't think my FH would have been happy sitting there

DH came with me to both of my hair & makeup trials (one was at a salon and one was at our place). I was glad that he was there because he was able to point out things that I didn't see (like too much base).

i think it depends...i didn't let my hubby see me - i wanted everything - the whole picture - to be a total suprise but everyone is different!
